What is go sailing

About gosailing.ie

go sailing is an exciting sailing adventure on Dublin Bay. Passengers have the choice of being active and involved or just sitting back, relaxing and viewing Dublin from a different aspect.

This unique adventure allows you to experience something you will never forget. For a couple of hours or so you will sail on Explorer and be taken into a different world where the wind, sails, and sea are your companions!

Each trip will be different depending on wind strength and direction but you will learn about sailing and see the Bay area like you have never seen it before.

You can get involved in sailing Explorer; learn how sails work, sailing terminology and the basics of sailing an ocean-going yacht. You will steer the boat through a number of manoeuvres and enjoy sightseeing on Dublin Bay and its coastline.

It will be a breathtaking adventure!

The sailing lasts between 2/3 hours. Yes, and everyone wears a lifejacket. All Dept of Transport regulations and marine safety standards are met. Sailing is generally not subject to the weather, as the stronger the wind, the faster we go. Passengers are limited to 12 per trip. Wear warm clothes even on a sunny day a jacket and flat soft soled shoes are a must. Passengers must be reasonably mobile to participate as an active crew member but you could just sit comfortably and enjoy the view.
